Gears of War ..::HAMACHI::.. and STUTTER Fix!

A’right guys if anyone’s having problems with this game, like playing over Hamachi by using the game’s Local Area Network feature or the game stutters for any of you, here I have a solution for you that worked for me.

For stuttering:

The game stutters if you use too high textures for you videocard to draw. I mean the pixel fill rate of your video card, what I experienced is, and read about it on some forums, that if you have let’s say a 256MB videocard it usually has a pixel fill rate / second to be enough only for Medium textures, when the game’s still looks good in my oppinion. This is what fixed the stuttering for me.

For Hamachi LAN:

The game usually doesn’t let people to connect to other people because of the built-in Windows Live client. It has a protection that doesn’t let people to join if they have more than 30ms latency, also known as latency. Also you have to make sure that Hamachi is the first in priority in your network adapters. And one more thing, you have to get the game to recognize HAMACHI as its main network connection. I’ll make this clear in the next few lines.

Here I have included all the necessary files you need to run Gears of War over Hamachi, and play with anyone you want. Considering you’re in the same hamachi network as them XD.

What you need to do is as follows:

1) Download this PACK I made for you so you don’t have to search for the files one by one. After downloading follow the instructions you see below, or… really you can do only 2 things with these files, overwrite others, and run the .reg file.
Oh well you can read a litt more detailed information in the readme file that is in the Archive and in the reloaded NFO.

2) Run the .reg file in the archive, so it will make the game to recognize HAMACHI as your main network adapter.

3) Overwrite the files as described in the readme, also overwrite Startup.exe as it’s the RELOADED team’s crack for the game. The “Wargame4live.exe” only does that it removes Windows Live from the game, don’t worry about having “Player1″ as profile name, unless you can hex the guy’s talking about in the readme.

4) Start the game and play it with your friends or somebody, it’s defenitely worth it ; ).
